A project of Cyndi Lauper’s True Colors Fund, the Give a Damn Campaign was launched in 2010 to inspire straight people to “give a damn” about LGBT equality. Van Gogh Vodka and “cocktail guru” Jonathan Pogash created this martini, and for each drink sold, $1 will be donated to the Give a Damn Campaign, starting tonight nationally, and in Denver at Boyztown, 117 Broadway; The Compound, 145 Broadway; Hamburger Mary’s, 700 E. 17th Ave.; and Charlie’s, 900 E. Colfax Ave.
Give a Damn Martini
By Jonathan Pogash, makes 1 drink.
Ingredients
1½ ounces Van Gogh Blue Triple Wheat Vodka
¾ ounce pomegranate juice
¾ ounce Monin cinnamon syrup
1½ ounces sparkling wineGarnish: half orange wheel
Directions
Shake first three ingredients very well with ice and strain into a martini glass. Top off with chilled sparkling wine and garnish with orange.
