Dubstep warlord . Folk favorites . Colorado DJ . And now, will return to the storied venue for the first time in three years for a pair of June performances.
Wilco will headline Red Rocks June 22-23, promoter AEG announced this morning.
Newgrass darlings Punch Brothers will provide support for the first night while Philadelphia indie-rockers Dr. Dog will open the June 23 show.
Wilco last played Denver’s Fillmore Auditorium in February () and its July 3, 2009 show at Red Rocks was one of the best in recent memory — punctuated by an Independence Day eve “Ashes of American Flags.”
Tickets for both shows go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, April 6 through Ticketmaster.
