UP Aerospace of Highlands Ranch today launched a payload of experiments for the Department of Defense from Spaceport America in New Mexico.
Additional scientific and engineering payloads were carried on the sounding rocket for the University of Texas, Federal Aviation Administration and National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
“This successful suborbital flight marks our tenth flight from Spaceport America, and we are excited to be delivering payloads for the (Department of Defense) and other clients,” said Jerry Larson , president of UP Aerospace.
Spaceport America is located northeast of Las Cruces adjacent to the White Sands Missile Range. Virgin Galactic is the spaceport’s anchor tenant.
