Digital First Media today named Sara Glines publisher of the York Daily Record and Sunday News.
Glines has been with ap Inc. as a vice president of field operations, based in Denver, since May 2010 .
Before that she was vice president of interactive operations and multimedia sales since September 2003 .
In her new position, Glines will also have responsibility for the Lebanon Daily News , Hanover Evening Sun and Chambersburg Public ap .
“Sara has worked at the corporate level to lead Pennsylvania and other ap newspapers through the transformation to Digital First Media. She is uniquely qualified to now step in and lead the local transformation,” said John Paton , chief executive of Digital First Media.
Glines replaces Fred Uffelman , who is retiring after 28 years with York newspapers.
“I want to thank Fred Uffelman for his leadership and for all that he has done for Pennsylvania newspapers and the communities they serve,” said Jeff Bairstow , president of Digital First Media. “I look forward to working with Sara and the Pennsylvania team to continue the transformation that is well underway.”
Glines’ appointment is effective immediately. She will relocate from Denver to the York, Pa., area.
