A man wanted as a suspect in an attempted murder case was arrested early this morning in Denver.
Terry Michael Atcheson, 31, was taken into custody just after midnight, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.
He was one of four people arrested at a home near South Dayton Street and South Galena Court in southeast Denver, Jackson said.
Police arrived at the home at about 8 p.m. and three people complied with orders to come outside, Jackson said. The three – two men and a woman – were arrested on outstanding warrants.
The fourth person inside the home, Atcheson, “barricaded” himself inside and Denver SWAT officers and a negotiator were called to the scene at about 9 p.m., Jackson said.
Atcheson surrendered about three hours later without further incident. He is suspected of shooting a woman in the head on March 28 at a home near East Mississippi Avenue and South Monaco Parkway, police said.
