WESTMINSTER, Colo.—Two teenage boys face felony charges of sexually exploiting children for allegedly using cell phones to send a video of two friends in a sex act.
KUSA-TV reported Tuesday ( ) the 16- and 17-year-olds are free on bond.
The 17-year-old is accused of recording the video and sending it to the 16-year-old, who allegedly sent it to someone else.
Both attended school in the Denver suburb of Westminster.
Westminster Police say they don’t know if the video is still circulating. Investigators say children who have it on their phones could also face charges if they send it to someone else.
Juveniles convicted of the charge would have to register as sex offenders and could face punishments ranging from a deferred sentence to two years in juvenile detention.
