An alleged pharmacy robber returned to the scene of the crime and turned himself in today, Fort Collins police said this evening.

Joshua Denny Johnson, 32, of Fort Collins is being held in the Larimer County Jail on charges of attempted aggravated robbery of a controlled substance and second-degree kidnapping in connection with the incident, which happened at about 11:39 a.m. at the Walgreens at 4502 South College Ave.

Store employees told police a man had demanded drugs while holding a gun. He then left without the drugs, police said.

At about 12:45 p.m., Johnson approached police at the store and said he was the robber.

Court records show Johnson has several previous arrests in Larimer County, including mostly drug and traffic offenses.
