An adult and a juvenile were taken to local hospitals Tuesday night after someone shot at the adult’s vehicle outside an Aurora apartment complex and also hit the car in which the juvenile was riding.
Police responded to the shooting in the parking lot of 2095 S. Paris Way just after 7 p.m.
Department Spokesman Det. Frank Fania said when police arrived they found two victims in separate vehicles who appeared to have been shot.
The victims were transported to hospitals, where it was determined they had been injured by glass fragments. Their injuries were not life threatening, Fania said.
Police believe the adult victim was the intended target.
They said the shooter walked outside and fired several shots at the adult’s car as he was driving away. The adult victim knew the shooter, and the incident appeared to be the continuation of a dispute that occurred Monday, Fania said.
The juvenile was in another vehicle that was leaving the parking lot and was also hit by bullets. Police do not believe the juvenile knew the suspect.
Authorities did not release the identity or ages of the victims.
They are looking for a gold or tan SUV that may be connected with the incident.
