A man was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in east Denver this morning.
Around 6:50 a.m., officers were called to East First Avenue and Monaco Parkway after the man was hit, said Sonny Jackson, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
The man, who is in his 30s or 40s, was apparently hit when he tried to cross the roadway outside of the crosswalk. His name has not been released.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained on scene.
The victim, who has not been identified, was taken to Denver Health Medical Center. His injuries are not life-threatening and he may have a broken arm, Jackson said.
