The operator of the Chloe nightclub in downtown Denver is settling an allegation that it denied a black woman and her friends entry in August.
Lotus Concepts operates Chloe, Suite 200, 24K and the Oak Tavern.
Francois Safieddine of Lotus Concepts denies any discrimination due to an alleged inconsistent application of dress codes but says it’s in its best interest to resolve the concerns promptly. Safieddine said Chloe and Lotus Concepts don’t tolerate discrimination.
The Colorado Civil Rights Division said under the settlement, Lotus Concepts’ clubs will provide public notification of antidiscrimination policies, enforce appearance guidelines consistently and provide antidiscrimination training to staff.
