GREELEY — A mother and daughter apparently new to Greeley have been arrested on suspicion of running a place of prostitution in the same home as a 2-year-old boy.
Amanda Becker, 25, and her mother, Sherry Whitacre, 43, are both in Weld County Jail today, while Becker’s 2-year-old son is in protective custody.
Both women were arrested Tuesday after an undercover agent with the Weld Drug Task Force — used only because of the unit’s experience with undercover investigations — set up an appointment with Becker.
“This case became a priority because we knew there was a small child living in the midst of this,” said Lt. Mark Jones, of the Task Force. For more on this story go to .
