More than 80 of America’s top male gymnasts will compete Saturday in a qualifying tournament at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
For some, this is the last chance to qualify for the U.S. championships June 7-10 in St. Louis.
Some of those who have already qualified will use this event as a tuneup for the Olympic Trials, June 28-July 1 in San Jose, Calif.
Among those expected to compete are four members of the 2011 world championships team that won the team bronze medal: Christopher Brooks and Jonathan Horton of Houston, Danell Leyva of Miami and John Orozco of New York City.
The qualifying tournament will play out over two sessions, at 12:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
