BOULDER, Colo.—A 66-year-old man is recovering after falling about 50 feet while rock climbing west of Boulder.

The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office says Timothy F. Kish of Denver fell Saturday morning at a popular climbing area known as Castle Rock. He was flown to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Kish was climbing with his 25-year-old daughter and appears to have lost his footing.

Authorities say he was an experienced climber.
