Unfortunately, each relies on different standards, though the most widely used today is the micro-USB connector that charges the majority of Android smartphones. Sony products use the mini-USB connector, a standard also embraced by other electronics manufacturers such as Nikon. Apple is on another planet and uses a proprietary charging and data cable that is compatible only with its devices.
