L.A. fans ride roller coaster. The Lakers fans were pretty fair weather, especially in the third quarter. They were booing when the Lakers were down by 12, cheering wildly when Kobe Bryant hit a 3-pointer to pull L.A. within three points 5½ minutes later, then booing again at the end of the third after the Nuggets’ 10-2 run.
Gasol missing in action. Pau Gasol was pretty much a no-show for L.A.’s offense. He was 4-of-11 in 37 minutes and finished with just nine points. Denver Post staff
