Fans of Sonic Youth – and fans of SY frontman/indie rock spokesperson – will rejoice.

Thurston Moore is heading out on a solo tour, and the well-spoken, mop-headed alt-rocker will play a very, very intimate show in Denver.

Moore will headline the on June 29, the warehouse district club announced today. Tickets, $15-$18, are on sale now at bigmarkstickets.com.

We last saw Moore just as he released his latest album, 2011’s “Demolished Thoughts,” at that year’s Pitchfork Festival – and while the subtle, Beck-produced record didn’t thrive in the outdoor sunshine of the festival, we can see it coming alive in a dark club.
