Denver’s most popular truck driving job fair will be held May 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at SAGE Truck Driving School in Henderson. The fair is open to people with or without a CDL.

Trucking industry representatives will be on hand to answer basic questions about a new career as a professional driver, including how much a new driver can earn, career opportunities in trucking, a trucker’s lifestyle, fringe benefits, how to get a CDL, financial aid, and other important topics. Carriers at the job fair include May, Werner, Swift, Houg, and others. Each company is ready to hire experienced and new drivers.

Trucking companies are reporting a significant increase in freight traffic. Truck drivers are in high demand for both over-the-road and oilfield jobs. To meet the need, trucking companies are offering new employees more pay and benefits and drivers rarely face layoffs, even when the economy slows down.

“That’s why trucking is often rated one of America’s best middle-class jobs,” according to SAGE School Director, Bonnie Babcock. The fair will help prospective drivers get a feel for the industry.

SAGE Truck Driving School provides training for those with no experience so they can enter this fast-growing, high-paying field.
