GREELEY, Colo.—An autopsy is scheduled to determine the identity and cause of death of a man found dead in an irrigation ditch in Weld County.

Authorities say they hope an autopsy on Thursday will help their investigation. Sheriff’s deputies say the person didn’t have identification.

The body was wrapped in a blue tarp and had no obvious signs of injuries.

Employees of the Farmers Reservoir and Irrigation Co. found the body Wednesday.

The body is believed to be that of a white man, about 30 to 40 years old.
