EMMA — Two hikers reported a naked man running on Nancy’s Path in the Emma area on Thursday, according to a Pitkin County ranger.
When the man saw the hikers, he reportedly jumped into the bushes and emerged wearing a pair of shorts. He apologized profusely, according to the incident report taken by the county Sheriff’s Office and forwarded to open space ranger John Armstrong.
Nancy’s Path is a trail easement granted to Pitkin County Open Space and Trails that accesses the area known as the Crown from near the intersection of Emma Road and Hooks Lane.
The man was described as in his 50s, very fit, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, with gray hair and blue eyes. Both of his nipples are pierced.
