The mail carrier who was attacked by two dogs in the Highlands neighborhood says the owners left their front door open.
Gloria Cruz, 27, was on her route Monday around 1 p.m. in the 4500 block of 34th Avenue near Tennyson Street in northwest Denver when the mauling happened.
“I heard the dogs barking, they pushed through the door, I scooted back and went to grab my spray and as soon as I did that the first dog came and bit this arm. At that point he pushed me down the steps. There were 3 steps, from there they were just dragging me throughout the lawn,” Cruz said.
Cruz has bandages and bite marks and scratches all over her body.
