AURORA, Colo.—A shooting victim has died after he was found unresponsive inside a locked car in the Denver suburb of Aurora.

Aurora police Sgt. Cassidee Carlson says the man was shot just before midnight Monday. Investigators believe he was shot at a nearby parking lot, got into his car and drove a short distance before the car ran onto a sidewalk and stopped.

Carlson says officers had to break a window to unlock the car. They administered CPR until paramedics arrived and took the man to a hospital, where he died.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released.

Carlson says police have made no arrests and haven’t identified a suspect, but they believe the shooting is an isolated event.
