High country investigators said this afternoon they have arrested a major player with “significant involvement in the drug trade within Garfield County and our local communities.”
The home address listed on 25-year-old Manuel Cruz-Sanchez’ arrest file is less than a block from Roaring Fork High School in Carbondale.
Undercover officers with the Two Rivers Drug Enforcement Team allegedly made five cocaine purchases from him since March, including 1.15 pounds of the drug on March 17.
He faces up to 24 years in prison and a fine of up to $750,000 fine, the regional task force stated.
Cruz-Sanchez is free on $50,000 bond. He does not have a previous arrest record in Colorado, court records indicate.
