Brian Farris, the chief operating officer for , was injured today when his handlebars snapped during the prologue of the Ride the Rockies.
Shawn Hunter, CEO of USA Pro Cycling Challenge, Colorado’s 2-year-old pro road race held in August, said Farris was flown from Gunnison to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver for treatment.
His injuries were not life threatening, but he was going to need surgery tonight, Hunter said.
