Larimer County authorities are once again watching a wildland fire and telling nearby residents to be prepared to flee.
The Sheriff’s Department said Tuesday afternoon the fire is about 2 acres and burning currently near the Mill Creek subdivision north of Larimer Couhty Road 80C and east of Larimer Country Road 59, about 25 northwest of Livermore.
A single engine air tanker and a helicopter have been requested to help douse the fire.
The blaze is north of High Park fire burn area, which consumed 87,284 acres and 259 homes between June 9 and its containment on Sunday. The High Park fire caused one fatality.
The fire also is in proximity to the Hewlett fire that burned 7,685 acres between May 14 and May 22.
