GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—Wildlife officials are looking for a wounded bear near Grand Junction after it was shot while chasing a boy.
State wildlife officials tell KJCT-TV ( ) the boy spotted the young bear outside of his home on Saturday and started to run.
The boy’s father shot the animal and it fled back into the woods.
Wildlife officials say the shooting is justified and they believe the bear is dead.
