Police are investigating an early morning shooting in northeast Denver.  

The victim, an unidentified man, called 911 to report that he’d been shot, said Sonny Jackson, a Denver Police Department spokesman.

The shooting happened at about 1 a.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of Tamarac Street, Jackson said.

The man was taken to a local hospital where he is in stable condition.

Police have not made an arrest in the case. A motive for the shooting was not released.
