 Digital First Media, which operates ap, owner of The Denver Post, and the Journal Register Co., announced Thursday the appointments of an East editor and seven regional supervising editors.

James McClure of the York Daily Record/Sunday News was appointed East editor. He will manage editorial content for Digital First Media’s properties in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Vermont.

The new supervising editors are:

• Matt DeRienzo, who currently oversees Digital First Media properties in Connecticut. He will supervise the company’s properties in Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Vermont, reporting to McClure.

• Nancy March, editor of The Mercury in Pottstown, Pa. She will supervise the company’s properties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, reporting to McClure.

• Nancy Conway, editor of the Salt Lake Tribune. She will supervise the Colorado and Utah properties, reporting to Greg Moore, Digital First Media’s Central editor and editor of The Denver Post.

• Glenn Gilbert, editor of the Oakland Press. He will supervise properties in Ohio, Michigan and Minnesota, reporting to Greg Moore.

• Bob Moore, editor of the El Paso Times. He will continue to oversee properties in Texas and New Mexico, reporting to Greg Moore.

• David Little, editor of the Chico Enterprise-Record. He will supervise the company’s Northern California community newspaper properties, reporting to Dave Butler, Digital First Media’s West editor and editor of the San Jose Mercury News.

• Michael Anastasi will over see the company’s Los Angeles News Group, reporting to Butler. Anastasi was formerly managing editor of the Salt Lake Tribune.
