DENVER—Eleven people connected to a Denver medical marijuana dispensary are accused of illegally funneling the drug for distribution in other states.

Colorado Attorney General John Suthers announced indictments Monday against 11 people connected to The Silver Lizard dispensary. The 59-count indictment accuses the group of charges including racketeering and marijuana distribution.

The indictment says the Silver Lizard defendants illegally distributed pot to 13 other states and Washington, D.C. If convicted, the defendants face sentences ranging from eight to 24 years.

Suthers opposes Colorado’s marijuana law and said in a statement Monday that Colorado is “becoming a significant exporter of marijuana to the rest of the country.”
