A traffic accident closed westbound lanes of Interstate 70 from the Eisenhower Tunnel to Silverthorne for much of Friday evening.
One lane reopened about 7:45 p.m. and the right-hand lane reopened by 9:30 p.m.
The six-mile stretch closed after the crash at 5:18 p.m.
The that a tractor trailer carrying concrete barriers collided with a number of vehicles.
There were numerous injuries, including one person who was extricated from a vehicle by rescue workers.
There were no immediate reports of fatalities.
The Colorado Department of Transportation is advising travelers to avoid the area or use U.S. Highway 6 over Loveland Pass as a detour.
