Fun: Toast Lakeside’s Summer Scream

Thursday. Last year’s inaugural Summer Scream at Lakeside was a huge hit for the post-college and early-30s crowd looking to relive their respective childhoods (with booze, of course). The quintessentially summer happening will usher in Labor Day weekend on Thursday night with five hours of unlimited rides, carnival games, live bands, DJ sets from the Mile High Soul Club, and, most important, an open bar. It’s all going down at Denver’s most Instagram-friendly, uber-shabby, somehow-still-standing compound: Lakeside Amusement Park (4601 Sheridan Boulevard, Lakeside). The event, will benefit Denver Film Society’s programming. Advance tickets, $30, are available through . Walk-up tickets are $35.
