DENVER—Denver International Airport says it had about 4.5 million passengers come through the facility in May.

That’s about a 0.1 percent decline from the same month last year.

Airport officials said Tuesday that through the first five months of the year, about 20.8 million passengers have traveled through Denver. That’s a 0.2 percent increase over the same timeframe in 2011.

Meanwhile, the Colorado Springs Airport has released its passenger traffic for June. The Gazette () reports 81,320 travelers used the Colorado Springs Airport in June, up 5.2 percent from June 2011. The results were helped when Frontier Airlines added nonstop flights to four cities in late May.

Colorado Springs Airport officials predict total airport traffic for 2012 will be up 8 percent from 2011, ending four consecutive years of declines.
