Friday-Sunday. The National Gay Flag Football League is hosting its championship — Gay Bowl — in Denver this weekend, and these men and women are ready for some football. Denver Mayor Michael Hancock filmed a video welcoming the 600 players from 37 teams and 20 cities — and his wife, Mary Louise Lee, will sing the national anthem at Friday afternoon’s opening ceremonies. After that, it’s games all weekend, leading up to the women’s division championship game at 2 p.m. Sunday and the men’s at 4 p.m. Sunday. All the action goes down at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, 6000 Victory Way in Commerce City, and admission to the games is free. .
