Friday-Sunday. As crazy as it may sound, the Grateful Dead is possibly more alive than ever before. That is to say, many incarnations of the famed San Francisco jam pilgrims are still truckin’ long and hard. Phil Lesh and Friends played three nights at the 1stBank Center in February, Bob Weir gave Boulder a pair of shows with Jackie Greene and Chris Robinson earlier this summer and the most-realized post-Dead project yet, Furthur, will return to Red Rocks for a three-day run this weekend. Anchored by Lesh’s bass chops and Weir’s never-fading vocals, Furthur is less a nostalgic acid hit than a continuation of the Dead’s long, strange trip. Tickets for the individual shows (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at Red Rocks (18300 West Alameda Parkway, Morrison) are $55-$65 through Ticketmaster.
