Breathe easy: Spin reports that the rumors of an split are untrue. The duo’s publicist the guys have not broken up, but are simply working on separate projects at the moment.
The confusion came from an interview Redfoo gave to saying he and partner SkyBlu want to pursue their individual interests.
“I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years,” Redfoo said. “And we’re kind of like saying, well, letap just do whatap natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it all the time.”
The uncle and nephew began performing together in 2006 and released their first album, “Party Rock” in 2009. But that insanely over-played song “I’m Sexy and I Know It” came from their second release, “Sorry for Party Rocking.”
Lovers of animal print pants can rejoice in the fact that Redfoo revealed he will also work on a fashion line, and plans to launch a solo career eventually.
“All the music that I’m going to make is always going to be LMFAO-ish,” he said. “I was really passionate about bringing party music to the world, so I will always be making some kind of party music.”
