Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is on Colorado visits, announcing that he plans to stop in Pueblo on Monday after a rally Sunday in Jefferson County.
Romney, whose to D’Evelyn Junior/Senior High School will be his first stop in Colorado in nearly two months, will follow it up with a Monday morning rally at the Weisbrod Aircraft Museum at the Pueblo airport. Romney had been scheduled to hold a rally there last Sunday but after a small plane crashed at the airport the morning of the planned appearance.
Pueblo is a somewhat unlikely choice for a Republican presidential rally. The county — with large populations of both Hispanics and union members — skews Democratic.
In an update sent out Friday morning, Romney’s campaign, though, said Pueblo is a place “where the Obama economy has hit Coloradans particularly hard.”
Tickets for both the Sunday and Monday rallies are being distributed through the campaign. For more details, visit .
