A beer truck rolled on a Colorado highway Thursday, spilling its load and snarling traffic in Wheat Ridge.
The incident happened at about 12:20 p.m. on the Colorado Highway 58 “flyover” bridge which links to I-70, according to a Wheat Ridge Police Department media release.
Crews are cleaning up the spill and drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
The truck driver was taken to a local hospital with injuries, police said. Further details on his condition were not available.
Investigators said excessive speed likely played a part in the crash.
