Miller, one of America’s most successful musicians in the early 1940s, left the scene to perform for U.S. troops during World War II. His France-bound plane disappeared mid-flight in 1944, and his brilliant career came to an abrupt end at age 40. The Glenn Miller Orchestra, which has performed under various incarnations since Miller’s death, carries the legacy forward and will stop at Denver’s on Saturday. .
