AURORA — President Barack Obama has arrived in Colorado in advance of the first presidential debate of the 2012 campaign.

Air Force One touched down around 1:50 pm Wednesday at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora.

On a warm, sunny afternoon, Obama paused only briefly before entering his limousine. There to greet him were two senior Buckley officials, Col. Robert Uemura and Chief Master Sgt. Greg Williams of the 460th Space Wing.

The first presidential debate begins at 7 p.m. at the University of Denver.
