The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said an injured man found east of Woodland Park late Sunday morning is likely the victim of an assault.
Deputies were dispatched just before 11 a.m. Sunday on a medical call to Springdale Campground, about five miles east of Woodland Park near Rampart Reservoir said sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Kramer. Deputies began investigating the incident as an assault after observing the man’s injuries.
Kramer said the man lacked coherency and was transported to a hospital in Colorado Springs.
