Dave Grohl enlists Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Stevie Nicks and more for Sound City band

Last week, , Sound City Players, to support his upcoming documentary about Sound City Studios. The lineup for the Sundance Film Festival performance on Jan. 18 in Salt Lake City includes a sampling of virtually everyone appearing on the soundtrack.

The group includes the surviving members of Nirvana (Grohl, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear), members Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett, not to mention , , , Alain Johannes of , producer Chris Goss, Cheap Trick’s Rick Nielsen, Fear singer Lee Ving, ‘s Brad Wilk, the Geraldine Fibbers’ Jessy Greene, and the Wallflowers’ Rami Jaffee.

Sadly, it looks like , who makes an appearance in the film and on the soundtrack, will not be part of the super “Sound City Players” assemblage.

While are sold out, fans can still check out the movie, coming soon to theaters.
