DENVER—Denver firefighters say a man who lost consciousness after being partially buried in a trench has died.
Fire department spokesman Mark Watson says firefighters who went to the scene Wednesday found the man unconscious in a trench several feet deep in an alley in northwest Denver. Watson says the man had been working on a pipe or an underground line.
It took about 10 minutes to free the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
