BRECKENRIDGE, Colo.—Many of the radio stations and all over-the-air television shows available in Summit County could go off the air if an aging power line fails, and sponsors say they don’t have the money to replace it.
Nonprofit Summit Public Radio and TV manages the site and says it does not have $250,000 to replace the line. Board president Suzanne Greene told Summit County commissions either the power line gets replaced before it fails, or they go out of business.
According to the Summit Daily ( ), the 30-year-old power line has been damaged by freezing weather and underground animals and it could fail at any time. Commissioners are promising to help any way they can to prevent that from happening.
