‘ new solo album, “Regions of Light and Sound of God” is, like so many of his My Morning Jacket tunes, both fun and thoughtful, accessible yet introspective. The same could be said of his music video for “A New Life,” which features a straightforward shot of James as seated singer-songwriter before he rises (along with the tempo) to meet—who else?—a buffalo-headed temptress.
