is going to have to give up that feeling of “living in a city with no children in it,” as vocalist and multiple instrument player — accordion, drums, piano, xylophone, , recorders, keyboards, to name a few — Régine Chassagne is pregnant with her first child with frontman and husband Win Butler.
Chassagne performed live in Montreal with the band at a charity concert over the weekend, with the reporting on her “very pregnant” appearance. It must be something in that Canadian water, as fellow Arcade Fire member Mariska Shaw is also said to be pregnant.
With names like Régine and Win, here’s hoping these parents come up with an equally great name for their tot — something to beat , perhaps? Remember how excited the world was for the birth of baby Blue? This baby is basically the hipster version of that auspicious event. Perhaps they can join Kanye and Kim’s new baby to form a super group trio in 18 years or so.
