Are we surprised to learn that the two sold-out concerts Lorin Ashton played at last summer were major highlights of his year? Um, no.
Ashton, better known as , sent out a note today promising a return to Red Rocks in 2013 – with A-Trak and DJ Shadow as his openers, no less.
Bassnectar will headline Red Rocks in Morrison on May 31-June 1, a Friday-Saturday run that will no doubt be a big weekend for the foothills amphitheater. The dates will close out the San Francisco-rooted DJ/producer’s 15-date run that starts in April and ends June 1.
The fan club onlsale starts at 10 a.m. Wednesday, and tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Saturday, most likely via Ticketmaster.
A-Trak will open the May 31 show with Treasure Fingers and Tokimonsta. Shadow will open the June 1 show with Two Fresh and Thriftworks.
