started David Letterman’s on Monday night. Lead singer Dave Gahan and wingman Martin Gore have been chugging along for almost 30 years. The U.K. electronic act has taken their highly influential music from “Speak and Spell” (1981) to their latest album, “Delta Machine,” scheduled for release via Columbia Records on March 26. Speaking of new albums, the guys played a new track off of the forthcoming release with their single, “Heaven.” The R&B-tinged take is new territory for the lads and could possibly point a new direction of things to come. Here’s to hoping that we get a Red Rocks date on a possible tour. Of all live albums that exist, I challenge any of you to come up with one that rivals “101.”
