STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo.—Yampa Valley Regional Airport’s top official says security is being jeopardized after passenger screening machines were removed this week.

The airport’s full-body scanner was taken out on Tuesday as part of a federal reorganization.

Airport Manager Dave Ruppel tells Steamboat Today ( ) security officials are now doing pat-downs on passengers and using an older walk-through metal detector.
