AURORA, Colo.—A proposal by the Federal Aviation Administration to close a control tower at the Front Range Airport could put plans for a Colorado spaceport in jeopardy.
The closure is just part of the cuts being considered by the federal government.
According to KMGH-TV ( ), the initial focus of the spaceport could include a space-pilot training center, with commercial operations possibly coming later.
Closing the tower would save the FAA about $600,000 a year
