Faith and Food Justice Summit
Wednesday: St. John’s Cathedral is a partner in Produce for Pantries, an initiative that includes Cooking Matters, Grow Local Colorado, Denver Urban Gardens, Slow Food Denver, Plant a Row for The Hungry, Livewell Colorado, Food Bank of the Rockies, Metro CareRing, Yardharvest, Denver Food Rescue and the No Kid Left Hungry Campaign. Produce for Pantries partners with nearby school gardens, community gardens and home gardens to provide fresh, local produce to those in need. The Reverend Rebecca Crummey, program director of The Denver Episcopal Service Corps, will moderate a panel discussion with representatives discussing their own work in Metro Denver growing and sharing food and serving hungry neighbors in need.
