DENVER—A strip club disc jockey from Denver has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison for possessing child pornography.
Federal prosecutors said Friday that 46-year-old Walden Allen Schmidt was sentenced this week to 97 months in federal prison, followed by 10 years on supervised release. He also was ordered to pay $5,000 to victims of his crimes.
Schmidt pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in December. According to a plea agreement, Schmidt had obtained more than 13,000 images of child pornography using file-sharing software and had sent child pornography to an undercover FBI agent.
